Meeting up with your friend Henri unfortunately doesn’t go as planned, and suddenly you’re stirred up in a bigger predicament. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners puts you in the role of “The Tourist,” a survivor who comes to New Orleans to fulfill a favor to a friend. This is what VR is about, and while Saints & Sinners might not be the most accessible, it’s definitely one of the compelling VR titles I’ve played. I still feel the struggles, and I still feel the tension of my will to survive. After taking the headset off, I look at my hands and I still see the hands that slayed many walkers. After experiencing Skydance Interactive’s The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, I can honestly say that it was the most realistic and immersive VR experience I’ve ever felt.
A lot of times, I end up taking off the headset and things either resume as normal, or in some situations, I feel nauseated. It's better to miss out on a few pieces of scrap metal or food rather than die.It’s not often that a VR game can fully immerse me into its world. Finally, players shouldn't be afraid to abandon searching a building if the herd gets to close. Players will then want to always be sprinting in order to get to new areas as fast as they can so that they can make sure they don't miss out on any supplies. This will show players how close to them the herd is getting, which should give them a decent idea as to how much time they have to explore. The trick here is to first keep an eye on the bar at the top of the screen. Since the entire point of Supply Run missions is to move through buildings and collect supplies, the herd can be particularly annoying since it can force players to abandon some of the supplies that they find. It effectively works like the circle in battle-royale games where a fog slowly follows the player from behind, and in order to survive the player needs to stay in front of it at all times.
The biggest threat to players in The Walking Dead Onslaught is the ever-encroaching herd of zombies behind them.
